CMD Watch (Creative Motion Dynamics) officially stepped into the scene on April 10th with a laid-back launch event at Ivy Restaurant. The vibe was easy, intimate, and full of people who genuinely care about watches and creative work.

Co-founded by Lukman Sardi, CMD isn’t trying too hard to be loud. It leans more into thoughtful design and the idea that a watch should feel natural on the wrist, something that moves with you, not just sits there.

The night brought together a nice mix of watch enthusiasts and creatives. Communities like AW Indonesia and Tanka Medium showed up, along with watch influencers and collectors who are part of Indonesia’s growing watch culture. It didn’t feel overly formal, more like a gathering of people who share the same interest.

A few familiar faces were also in the room, including filmmaker Joko Anwar, Morgan Oey, Ujo, Aming, Dimas Danang. Their presence added to the atmosphere, but the focus stayed on the watches and the conversations around them.

As a new local brand born in 2026, CMD feels like it’s taking a more grounded approach, less about hype, more about building something solid over time. The launch wasn’t about making noise. It was about showing up, introducing the idea, and letting people experience it for themselves.

A quiet start, but a promising one.
